The Foolishness of the Gospel: God's Brilliant Strategy

I formed a new habit this year - listening to audio Bible. Lol. I just enjoy listening to God's Word on the go. It makes it possible for me to keep feeding on it more and more, and cover several books of the Bible in just one day.

I still do my Bible study of course but listening to the Audio Bible gives me the opportunity to fill my mind with the best stuff and what is better than God's Word 🤷‍♂️?

So this morning, I was listening to 1 Corinthians and then in Chapter 1, it talks about the wisdom of God wrapped up in the foolishness of the gospel of Jesus, and that was what brought about this article I am sharing with you now. It's powerful.

Enjoy.

At first glance, the gospel does not make sense.

How can the salvation of humanity depend on a man who was crucified on a cross? How can eternal life be received simply by believing? Why would God choose faith instead of intellectual achievement, religious performance, or philosophical reasoning?

To the natural mind, the message of the cross appears foolish. This is exactly what the Apostle Paul emphasized in 1 Corinthians 1. The Jews wanted miraculous signs. The Greeks sought sophisticated wisdom and intellectual arguments. But God offered neither. Instead, He presented Christ crucified.

This was not an accident. It was God's strategy.

Human beings have always attempted to understand God through their own wisdom, knowledge, and reasoning. We build philosophies, formulate theories, and create systems that we believe can lead us to truth. Yet God deliberately chose a path that human wisdom could never discover on its own.

Paul writes that God "decided not to let the people of this world use their wisdom to learn about Him." The gospel was designed to humble human pride. It removes every opportunity for people to boast in their intelligence, achievements, or religious credentials.

The cross declares that salvation can not be earned, discovered, or deciphered through human brilliance. It can only be received by faith.

This is why the gospel remains a stumbling block to some and foolishness to others. It requires people to abandon their confidence in themselves and place their trust in Christ. It demands humility rather than intellectual superiority.

Yet what appears foolish to the world is actually the wisdom and power of God. Through the "foolish" message of the gospel, lives are transformed, sins are forgiven, and people are reconciled to God. What human wisdom could never accomplish, God's grace achieves through simple faith.

The beauty of the gospel is that it places everyone on equal ground. The scholar and the labourer, the rich and the poor, the educated and the uneducated all come to God the same way, not by understanding everything, but by believing.

God's wisdom is so much higher than ours that He chose a method the world would dismiss. In doing so, He ensured that no one would find Him through human cleverness, but through faith in His Son.

The gospel may look foolish to the world, but it remains the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.

Whooo!!

Celebrities sell their souls to the devil for fame and fortune

It is said that most Hollywood celebrities, to get to where they are today, made a deal with the devil...they sold their souls for fame and fortune. By selling their souls they submit to Satan so that he totally uses, enslaves and possesses their life, body, mind, will and soul. Satan's goal and agenda becomes theirs. Their life is no more their own. So let it not surprise you when their songs or movies serve Satan's purpose of driving men into deeper darkness. These celebrities are idolized and literally worshiped but clearly they serve Satan and channel demonic spirits through their music and movies. From the likes of Madonna,Jay Z, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Nicky Minaj ,Eminem, Bob Dylan and so so many others, these are known to be demon possessed having sold their souls to the devil. Melyssa Ford, a Canadian hip hop model and actress ,said in an interview, "If your ultimate goal is to be famous, you have to do a lot to get there like sign your name in blood i...

See how music is used to cast spells...(A must read)

We love music, but do you know there could be more to music than we bargained for? The devil is desperate and we should not be ignorant of his devices and this is one of them. One weapon that he always uses is subtlety . Here's what I pulled from a Wiccan website concerning Magickal music or let me say how they cast spells in music: "A magick spell is the integration of an intent with a physical representation of that intent.  "For instance, when you make a Witch’s spell pouch, out of a cloth and some herbs and oils and objects, each of those items represents a part of your intent. And in the magick, you are binding those two things: your intention and the physical world. "This brings your intention into form in the physical world. That's how magick spells work. In magickal music, the intention is wrapped up into a song, and bound into it. "When I create magickal songs, I do it with the guidance of the Divine. In a meditative state...

Late Hollywood actress, Marilyn Monroe, told Billy Graham, "I don't need your Jesus."

She had the perfect life anyone could dream of; remarkable wealth and great fame. Despite all that, Marilyn kept all of her sufferings to herself. One day during filming, a preacher named Billy Graham visited her. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus". During that time, Monroe who was allegedly having a romantic affair with the President of the United States, John F Kennedy. A week later, she was found dead in her bedroom. Theories of her death started to spread. Some say she was assassinated because of political conspiracies and in the end, the most accepted theory up to this day is she committed suicide. It shows that she was suffering from a severe depression. In fact it is actually the right time for her to seek God, asking for help, not to take the easy way out by taking her own life. *Hmmm... One day soon I will write on Marily...
