Who is peddling the story of Don Moen's death? Why, why, why?

Few days ago it was falsely claimed that my fav gospel artiste, Don Moen, is dead after a short illness but thankfully the story is not true.

I remembered this same fake news about his death was carried again over 13 years ago when I was still in the University. Then it was said Don Moen drowned in a river or something.

I had gone to visit a friend and she said to me, "Did you hear? Don Moen is dead!" I didn't believe it. I told her it can't be true. "With the kind of man Don Moen is, I don't believe he can die that way."

Thank God he didn't die then and he is still very much alive even now.

An American singer-songwriter, pastor evangelist, Don Moen has died after short battle with stomach pain. His family confirmed that he died early this morning at General Acute Care (GAC) Hospital in California shortly after being rushed to the hospital.
The cause of his death is not immediately known as the body is deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
President Donald also has expressed his tributes, saying Don Moen was “one of the best gospel artists that the country has ever produced”.

He has since debunked the story in a tweet.
