Everything God has instructed us to do is good because He is good.
1 John 1:5 tells us, “God is light; in Him, there is no darkness at all.”
So why the antagonism?
Why do people make a mess of their lives—through wrong choices, rebellion, or ignoring God’s Word—and still turn around to blame Him?
Why do we hear, “But why would God allow this to happen?” so quickly and so often?
Many conveniently forget that God has already made His will clear in His Word. He has given instructions for living, for peace, for protection, for purpose, and for our ultimate well-being. They forget that whenever God wants to bring change on earth, He partners with people—people who are willing, yielded, surrendered. People who say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”
But men reject God.
They reject His Word, His will, and His Lordship.
They choose compromise, darkness, and self-will—and when the consequences come, they turn and blame the very God they pushed away. No one blames the devil. Somehow it all becomes God’s fault.
Yet this loving Father has already done everything necessary for us in Christ Jesus. He has offered grace, salvation, wisdom, and access to a life of victory. But He will never override our freewill. God does not force Himself on anyone; He invites us to choose Him freely—with all our hearts.
So the next time you feel tempted to blame God for the evil in the world, remember this: God is a good, good Father. He is waiting with outstretched arms, calling you to partner with Him—to bring light to your space and push back the darkness.
