Jason recounts how something changed in him when he happened to come across some homosexual pornography while an adolescent:
It all started when I was fourteen when I stumbled on some gay porn and got curious, fascinated, and eventually, hooked.
I only liked girls before. I was confused by the growing attraction to guys, and I remember my journal entry that said,
“Oh damn, I think I’m becoming gay. I hope it won’t be worse. I’ll stop it soon, I hope.”
After nearly dying alone in a hospital in a foreign country following a serious motorcycle accident, Jason turned away from homosexual activity and has embraced the beauty of complementarity.
As to where he is now, the young man says, “I may not be free of these same-sex desires just yet, but these desires don’t define me anymore, since God’s love took hold of my life.”
“I may not be free from my desires, but I no longer want to pursue them,” he adds. “I can be open with others about my struggles mainly because the true love of God has found me.”
*The realization and the conviction. No one is born gay. I personally believe one way or another, on the journey of life, whether as a child or an adult, one is exposed to things that do influence their mentality and finally, their actions.
The society is full of it. The internet isn't helping matters. What you are constantly exposed to becomes you. It's a natural law.
What are you exposing your children to? What are you exposing yourself to? Take it or leave it, consciously or unconsciously, they will influence you because it all goes to the mind.
That's why we are urged to daily renew our minds by looking at God's Word (Rom 12:2). As our mind is renewed, we are also being transformed to be more and more like Jesus which is our ultimate goal.
