Kanye sang the song 'I am a god' and called himself Yeezus, a corruption of the name Jesus.
Few years ago, a Kanye bible came out where Kanye replaced the name God throughout its pages.
The Mirror reported that a religion called Yeezianity emerged where Kanye West's fans revere him as a god. According to the official Yeezianity website:
"We are an anonymous group who
believes that the one who calls himself Yeezus is a divine being who has
been sent by God to usher in a New Age of humanity."
On a Rolling Stone magazine, Kanye was depicted as Jesus with a crown of thorns and a blasphemous title that read 'The passions of Kanye West'.
Again two days ago, a life-size statue of Kanye West as Jesus appeared on Hollywood Boulevard.
It was built by an artist , Plastic Jesus, who called the sculpture 'false idol' saying, "he(Kanye West) is a genius at writing and producing but he’s not a god, and that’s where we put him. Until there’s an issue in his life or a hiccup in his career, then we crucify him.”
*Few days ago, we witnessed Beyonce's photoshoot and her unusual performance at the Grammys where she was depicted as a goddess. Kanye West's obsession with godhood has always been known.
It reminds me of the devil's quest, "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." Isa 14:14
Truth is that today, even without knowing it, people revere these celebrities as their 'idols' or 'gods'. They literally worship them and that's what the devil wants. Satan is still on the mission to dethrone God and enthrone himself.
He tells his followers that there is no God rather they are god to themselves. In other words live your life the way you want it. You are in control. You are god and you are not accountable to anyone.
Sad news Mr devil: God's position cannot be rivaled. It is IMPOSSIBLE to dethrone God!
And woe betide anyone who portrays himself or herself as God. It is a terrible thing.
