Brad Pitt blames his atheism on 'Christian guilt' instilled by his father

On Saturday, the actor revealed he adheres to no religion in an interview with UK's telegraph. He said he was raised in a Southern Baptist household in Missouri, “with all the Christian guilt about what you can and cannot, should and shouldn’t do.”

“I’d go to Christian revivals and be moved by the Holy Spirit, and I’d go to rock concerts and feel the same fervor,” Pitt said “Then I’d be told, ‘That’s the Devil’s music! Don’t partake in that!’ I wanted to experience things religion said not to experience.”

*'Christian guilt'? Human nature wants to be free to do what he wants and not be constrained by a set of rules of do's and don'ts but yet within these rules lies life. Show me a nation without a law and I will show you a lawless nation. 

So dear Brad Pitt, the Bible remains the ultimate Rule/Life book. A heart that loves the Lord can live by it with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Christian guilt is simply your conscience at work.
