Pastor Nieuwhof has pin pointed some reasons why the church may be finding it hard to retain new members. Here they are:   - First off, Nieuwhof observed that some churches could do better in terms of welcoming their worshipers, particularly those who are new.  He notes that team members failing to make a good impression right away could lead to worshiper not getting the most out of the experience. - One other tip provided by Nieuwhof is related to connecting with younger people who might no longer be going to church regularly. SMSgt Oscar Rodriguez says he was "assaulted" by U.S. military members and forcibly removed from a private retirement service because he planned to talk about God.  Rodriguez had been asked to attend the retirement and flag-folding ceremony. Footage from the ceremony shows uniformed military standing and pushing him out of the room. Kelly Shackelford, president and CEO of First Liberty Institute, showed the footage during a Saturday sermon at Gateway Church. An Indian man has been worshiping Donald Trump for 3 years now, praying to a photo of US President Donald Trump several times a day. He makes offerings of vermilion, turmeric and flowers to the photo and carries it with him wherever he goes, openly declaring his devotion to his unusual deity.  Krishna claims that being called mad by family and friends for worshiping Trump the same way as Hindu gods has only strengthened his resolve, and he now hopes to build a temple dedicated to the US President.

In the past few days, it's been one tragedy after another in Nigeria. Almost 11 villages were attacked by Fulani herdsmen simultaneously in Nigeria's Plateau State last weekend, leaving over 200 Christians dead. Initial reports put the death toll at 86, but locals say authorities have lied to hide the mass casualties. Then just about two days ago, lives were lost when a petrol tanker burst into flames. Lives and properties were also lost. So so sad. Reading the eye witness accounts made my heart cry. And the children who died in the fire? The agony of their loved ones! Oh God! It cuts the heart. I pray for all who lost those that they love that God will comfort you. I can't even begin to imagine their pain. *Tears*
