When my husband came home last night he asked our daughter, "Sweetheart, what do you want me to buy for you tomorrow?" Innocently she answered, "Sweets and chewing gum!" and it left us laughing seriously. Why not ice cream? Why not meat pie? Why sweets and chewing gum? Here was her daddy offering her an open cheque to demand for anything, I mean anything and all she could ask for was sweets and chewing gum?! Sometimes, we are like my girl. I feel bad when I see pastors deceiving people in the name of the Lord but what hurts even more are the ignorant Christians who fall for their schemes. One of the most terrible things any man can do is to lie in the Name of the Lord or do business in God's Name or say 'Thus says the Lord' when God had not spoken.  It is tantamount to using the Name of the Lord in vain.
